ALCOSAN - Located along the Ohio River on Pittsburgh’s Northside, the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority (ALCOSAN) provides wastewater treatment services to 83 communities including the City of Pittsburgh. ALCOSAN’s 56-acre treatment plant is the largest wastewater treatment facility in the Ohio River Valley, processing up to 225 million gallons of wastewater daily.

Allegheny County Conservation District - The Allegheny County Conservation District is an agency of State government having as its mission the conservation of the County's soil and water resources.

Blacklick Creek Watershed Association - The BCWA is an independent, non-profit organization formed in 1993, providing a structure and focal point to improve the quality of Blacklick Creek watershed. With 420 square miles in Western Pennsylvania, including Cambria and Indiana Counties, the watershed is a major contributor to the Conemaugh River Drainage Basin.

Beaver County Conservation District - The Beaver County Conservation District provides technical assistance to farmers and engineers, school programs, and community outreach programs. The District owns and maintains an environmental center and 18 acres of wetlands in Independence Township. In addition, they sponsor a number of annual events and programs, one of the most popular being the Annual Maple Syrup Festival held in March or April each year.

Blair County Conservation District - The mission of the Blair County Conservation District is the protection, preservation, and enhancement of Blair County's natural resources by providing technical assistance and educational guidance.

Conemaugh Valley Conservancy - The mission of the Kiski-Conemaugh Stream Team is to educate and engage citizen stewards in maintaining, enhancing and restoring the natural resources of the Kiski-Conemaugh River Basin. The Kiski-Conemaugh Stream Team is a program of the Conemaugh Valley Conservancy.

Friends of Allegheny Wilderness - Friends of Allegheny Wilderness seeks to foster an appreciation of wilderness values and benefits, and to work with local communities to ensure that increased wilderness protection is a priority of the stewardship of the Allegheny National Forest.

Montour Run Watershed Association - The MRWA has as its purpose the protection, remediation, and long-term stewardship of the Montour Run Watershed. This includes land, water, and biological resources of the watershed, as we strive to make the Montour Valley healthier for all its residents. We accomplish our goals through formal and informal partnerships with citizens' groups, businesses, local governmental agencies, elected officials, and the general public. The MRWA actively conducts watershed assessment projects, public outreach and education projects, and stream improvement projects.

Moshannon Creek Watershed Coalition - The Moshannon Creek Watershed Coalition is an organization made up of local citizens and supported by the Clearfield and Centre County Conservation Districts and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. The group’s mission is to improve and maintain the social, recreational, economic and ecological quality of the Moshannon Creek for future generations. The group is addressing water quality issues, including the effects of acid mine drainage on Moshannon Creek.

Mountain Watershed Association - The Mountain Watershed Association is concerned with the conservation, restoration and protection of the Indian Creek Watershed in Westmoreland and Fayette Counties, Pennsylvania.

Natural Resources Defense Council - Stormwater Strategies, Community Responses to Runoff Pollution - This May 1999 report from the Natural Resources Defense Council documents some of the most effective strategies being employed by communities around the country to control urban runoff pollution, which is among the top sources of water contamination in the country today. The collection of 100 case studies compiled and evaluated here is intended to serve as a guide for local decisionmakers, municipal officials, and environmental activists; it is also a resource for citizens concerned about the quality of their local environment.

PA CREP - The Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP) is a voluntary conservation program which rewards producers and landowners for installing conservation practices on their land, and offers up to 100% cost share reimbursement for installation, annual rental payments, and cash incentives.

Pine Creek Watershed Rivers Conservation Plan - The Pine Creek Watershed Rivers Conservation Plan: a framework of ideas to protect and conserve the watershed and forge a future we can all share. Seven years in the making, the plan spells out issues, ideas, potential funding, and partners. Many projects are imagined. What will make them reality is locally driven, grassroots action.

Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts, Inc. (PACD) - PACD is a non-profit organization that supports, enhances, and promotes Pennsylvania’s Conservation Districts and their Programs.

Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection - The Department of Environmental Protection’s mission is to protect Pennsylvania’s air, land and water from pollution and to provide for the health and safety of its citizens through a cleaner environment. We will work as partners with individuals, organizations, governments and businesses to prevent pollution and restore our natural resources.

Pennsylvania Organization for Watersheds and Rivers (POWR) - POWR is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting Pennsylvania's rivers and streams.

Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) - The Pennsylvania Resources Council, established in 1939, is one of the Commonwealth's oldest citizen action environmental organizations. Recognized as a state and national leader in waste reduction and recycling, the remainder of PRC's work focuses on litter and visual blight prevention, watershed awareness, and composting.

Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy - The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy was founded in December 1996 by a group of citizens concerned with the deteriorating conditions of Pittsburgh's parks

Three Rivers Wet Weather - The 3 Rivers Wet Weather Demonstration Program is committed to improving the quality of Allegheny County's water resources by helping communities address the issue of untreated sewage and stormwater overflowing into the region's waterways. To promote the most cost-effective, long-term, sustainable solutions, the nonprofit organization benchmarks sewer technology, provides financial grants, educates the public and advocates inter-municipal partnerships.
